Chr and Ord

string chr ( int ascii )

Return a character string containing the character specified by ASCII
value

<?php

echo chr(97);

///will output ‘a’

>?

int ord ( string string )

Returns the ASCII value of the first character of string. This function is complement to chr().

<?php

echo ord(a);

///will output ‘97′

>?
