- It  get protocol name associated with given protocol number

Syntax:

string getprotobynumber ( int number)

getprotobynumber() returns the protocol name associated with protocol number as per /etc/protocols.

getprotobyname

getprotobyname
It get protocol number associated with protocol name

Syntax:

int getprotobyname ( string name)

getprotobyname() returns the protocol number associated with the protocol name as per /etc/protocols.
