Regex_replace in Smarty

A regular expression search and replace on a variable. We can use the syntax for preg_replace from the PHP manual.

Example:

<?php
$smarty->assign(’string’, “Welcome! \nHave a nice day.”);

In template we can specify like

{$string}

{$string|regex_replace:”/[\r\t\n]/”:” “}

Output:

Welcome!

Have a nice day.;
