void sleep ( int seconds)
The sleep function delays program execution for the
given number of seconds.
usleep

It also used to delay the execution mentioned in
microseconds.
Syntax:
void usleep ( int micro_seconds)
The usleep() function delays program execution for the
given number of micro_seconds.
Example:
sleep(1); and usleep(1000000) are similar.
