How do i do a case-insensitive string comparison
Use the String.Compare function. Its third parameter is a boolean which specifies whether case should be ignored or not.

if (string.Compare(”FINE”, “fine”,true) == 0)
{
MessageBox.Show(”equal”);
}
}
//the parameter true ignores the case whereas false is case sensitive.
