basename
string basename(string path,string suffix);
Which returns the base name of the file for the path of file supplied
eg
$path = “http://www.example.com/users/index.php”;
$file_name = basename($path); /// $file_name is set to “index.php”
If the file name ends with the suffix supplied the it will be cut off
$file_name = basename($path,’.php’); // $file_name is set to “index”
